For years now, I’ve wanted to own land somewhere, so that I can run my own festivals and fairs. Weird huh? I mean, who really thinks that THAT is something to dream about? Weirdos like me, and maybe a few of you Madlandians too.
As the years go by, and that option is getting farther and farther out of reach, I’ve turned to the internet to find a community of like minded aficionados of handmade arts and crafts. It’s been amazing! And beyond my imagining, a worldwide community has been discovered, tapped into and developed. Hip hip hooray for Makers around the world!
I’ve spent the last few years re-engineering the dream, learning how to build e-commerce websites, meeting hundreds of Makers from around the globeĀ and all the while continuing to hone my own skills as an artist and crafter. Today, yes, this very day, I launch the Madlandia Trading Company Marketplace!
This marketplace is designed as a haven for sellers and buyers of truly authentic, original, heirloom quality handmade goods. A family friendly, one of a kind, curated shopping experience for buyers and a unique opportunity for Makers to be recognized for what they do in the name of creativity. I’m excited!
As I prepare for the grand opening for shoppers, currently, we are taking applications for merchants. If you or anyone you know is an amazing Maker, we’d love to meet them. We’ll keep you posted on the progress (we=me and my monkeys).
