Fall is coming, and I’m thrilled. The season of pumpkins, warm drinks, baking and Halloween! (Not to mention several Mad Family birthdays to celebrate). I’ve been working on ways to bring Fall into my crafting, and I’ve decided to work on some sugar skulls in clay. Sugar skulls offer an opportunity to create and use multiple canes and colors and combine them into one pattern. Not to mention, sugar skulls remind me of home (San Diego, CA) where the Mexican folk arts just flow through the city.
I’m also experimenting with how I can use ONE clay pattern with multiple backgrounds and slice sizes to create different looks on the Love Handles. That is fun! I’ll show you some multiple looks all from one cane, let me know what you think.
These are all one cane, but the variety of sizes and backgrounds creates so many different variations. I just love this medium. Oh, and I’ll be giving away one hook each month for subscribers only. So if you are interested in winning your very own Love Handle, make sure to subscribe (you can do this on the homepage, on the right). I triple dog dare you!
