the Lovely Biscuits of the Loveless Cafe

We finally ate at the Loveless Cafe today! What a great day out with the family. We weren’t sure what we were going to do in TN with a New Years weekend since this is our first one here, but I say “When in doubt drive! and then eat.” This motto has taken me on many scenic and beautiful drives and introduced me to some of the best roadside coffee and treats known to the a wandering gypsy soul. Today’s fare was French toast, eggs, sausage, bacon, fried chicken, black eyed peas, grits, preserves and famous biscuits. Did you get that? FAMOUS biscuits. Not dried up little hockey pucks that were slowly brought back from a frozen death and disguised as an American classic, but real life, homemade, flaky, white, moist, tender and almost too good to be true, biscuits. Yum. Here they are pictured with Loveless Peach Preserves and Blackberry Preserves. And you may already know what a sucker I am for preserves, so just imagine me with these biscuits AND preserves. My poor husband had to nail my back pockets to my chair to keep me down!
