Polymer clay and the practice of Millefiori
I’ve been working with polymer clay for almost three decades now and it’s still an art form that I love. I’ve recently started to adding my clay work here, often it overlaps with my fiber art too. Millefiori is the art of Venetian glasswork and it literally means “thousand flowers.” The technique done in clay, layering the colors and canes, allows for tile after tile of the same pattern to be sliced and applied to different materials. In this way, the claywork copies the technique of Millefiori done in glass. Please enjoy my work.
